Raising Up Spiritually Mature Young Adults

Below is a short list of statements I look at regularly in identifying spiritually mature Christians, and also use as a part of the process to help grow spiritually mature young adults. This list is not complete, but is very helpful in focusing my efforts to move young adults towards a higher level of spiritual maturity.  From Reaching Young Adults:

1. A mature believer is able to keep long-term commitments
2. A mature believer possesses a spirit of humility
3. A mature believer’s decisions are based on character, not feelings
4. A mature believer is unshaken by flattery or criticism
5. A mature believer expresses gratitude consistently
6. A mature believer knows how to prioritize others before themselves
7. A mature believer seeks wisdom before acting
